1. Scope and operator
Odysseus Academy operates the Odysseus website and Platform. This policy applies when you browse public pages, create or use an account, apply to become a Creator, participate as a Pathfinder or Ambassador, upload material, contact Support, or otherwise use the Platform.
Questions and privacy requests may be sent to support@odysseusacademy.world.
2. Information we collect
- Account and authentication information: email address, name, password-derived security data, account status, roles and Platform capacities, authentication tokens, and security or recovery records when those flows are available.
- Creator and program information: Creator application responses, intended content types, work descriptions, links supplied by applicants, acknowledgement records, review status, Ambassador participation, referral codes, QR relationships, campaigns, and related program history.
- Content and files: uploaded works, drafts, artwork, recordings, documents, metadata, rights and contributor information, file names, types, sizes, checksums, processing status, and publication or delivery records.
- Transactions and Platform economics: product, pricing, entitlement, credit, commission, renewal, and transaction-status records where applicable. Customer payments are currently unavailable. The Platform does not currently offer an active public payment flow.
- Communications and support: messages, requests, application correspondence, operational notices, support details, and records needed to resolve a request. External Platform email delivery remains disabled during controlled readiness work.
- Technical and usage information: request timestamps, security and audit events, device or browser-related request data, approximate network information, route interactions, and bounded campaign or referral interaction identifiers.
3. How information is collected and used
We receive information directly from you, from authorized Platform relationships, from your use of Platform features, and from service providers supporting hosting, security, storage, or delivery. We use it to provide and secure accounts; assess Creator applications; operate content, referral, Ambassador, and access workflows; protect uploaded files; maintain authoritative records; provide support; detect misuse; and meet legal or recordkeeping obligations.
We do not use purchased, rented, or scraped contact lists. Promotional consent, if introduced, will remain separate from essential account and operational communications.
4. Browser storage, cookies, and interaction data
The Platform uses browser local storage to maintain an authenticated session and session storage for short-lived campaign or referral interaction continuity and duplicate-event control. Hosting and security providers may use necessary cookies or comparable technologies to deliver and protect the service.
Odysseus Academy does not currently claim to operate behavioural advertising or a general third-party advertising analytics program. This policy will be updated if materially different analytics or cookie practices are introduced.
5. Creator content, rights information, and File Security
Creator files and supporting materials may be placed in private quarantine and assessed for file type, structural validity, malware, threats, and required processing before they can be promoted for authorized use. Security assessments, checksums, provenance, and lifecycle records may be retained even when a rejected or unsafe binary is scheduled for deletion.
Uploads do not automatically become public. Access, review, approval, publication, and delivery are separate controlled states.
6. Service providers and international processing
Odysseus Academy uses service providers for functions such as website and application hosting, databases, private object storage, file-security processing, infrastructure, and future controlled communications. Those providers may process information in more than one country. Information may therefore be subject to the lawful requirements of the places where it or a provider is located.
We disclose information only as needed for authorized services, security, legal obligations, protection of rights, or an approved business transition. We do not claim that all data is stored in a single country.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including account operation, application review, content and rights history, fraud and security controls, dispute handling, legal obligations, and durable transaction or audit records. Different records have different lifecycles.
A deletion request does not require removal of records that must be retained for legal, security, rights, accounting, transactional, evidentiary, or system-integrity reasons. Where appropriate, information may instead be restricted, de-identified, or securely deleted under an applicable lifecycle.
8. Safeguards
We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and service, including controlled access, authentication boundaries, encrypted provider paths where configured, private quarantine, file assessment, audit records, and separation of public, registered, Creator, Ambassador, and administrative authority. No system can promise absolute security.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, MFA codes, or sensitive identity documents by email.
9. Your choices and requests
You may ask to access or correct personal information, raise a privacy concern, or request deletion or restriction by contacting Support. We may need to verify the requester and may decline or limit a request where permitted or required by applicable law, where another person’s rights are involved, or where an authoritative record must be preserved.
Essential security, application, account, and operational notices are distinct from promotional communications. Where optional promotional communications are introduced, a suitable preference or withdrawal method will be provided.
10. Children and youth
Some public educational content may be relevant to youth, but the Platform does not invite a child who cannot provide meaningful consent to create an account or submit personal information independently. A parent, guardian, or other authorized adult should be involved where required by the person’s age, maturity, and applicable law.
Do not upload or publish personal information about a child without appropriate authority. Contact Support if you believe a child’s information has been provided inappropriately.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Platform, providers, or applicable requirements change. Material changes will be communicated where required, and the effective date above will be revised.
